About Patrick
Artist Bio
Patrick was born and raised in Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire before going to Exeter to study fine art. After completing his degree in sculpture, he returned north to settle in Sheffield where he established himself as a community artist, intent on making creativity as fun and accessible as possible.
His enthusiasm for making is infectious: whether collaborating with schools to produce vividly painted murals, running puppet making workshops or willow-lantern making for carnivals. He has curated several group and solo exhibitions; made walkabout puppets and performed puppet shows and lantern events in the UK, Bulgaria and Greece.

In 2017 Patrick successfully launched a crowdfund campaign, Puppets for Refugees to take his passion for puppetry to Athens, where he worked with young refugees. Whilst in Greece, he ran popular ‘Incredible Puppet Making’ workshops in cafes and with refugee projects and organised lantern processions in Athens and Ioannina in Northern Greece.

His latest show, The Owl and the Pussy Cat & Other Stories was performed ‘livestream’ for the Beverley Puppet Festival, Scratch Space and currently running activity workshops for children with supporting shows.
