Stone Carving
It’s always great to try something new and my first go at stone carving was a brilliant experience I’ll treasure a long time.
It took me about 3 days to carve this bird from Purbeck stone. All from my own head as reference!
Andrianna carved the square and circle; very in line with the Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers, who hosted the carving festival. Lois and Nigel tap, tap, tapped alongside and like us, loved every minute.
We had the finest of tuition while we were there: expert, dedicated and accomplished stone carvers. Genius crafters, like Jonathan Sells. What a guy! Just look at his folio here: www.jonathan-sells.com
All in all a terrific time. I think the photos say it all!
