Great Crested Grebe

I’m unsure exactly why I made and transformed myself into a great crested grebe, only that upon reading a list of ‘Sighted Birds on Parkwood Springs’, the grebe stood out, and having been spotted only once in 2012, had a certain appeal. The male grebes are quite a show off – I’m not sure what that says about me. It had been on my mind to make heron, always a delight to see. I saw a beautiful heron-lantern at Wildlights Lantern Trail at RSPB Old Moor, but I didn’t want to rival it! Anyhow, I’m easily inspired and this was enough to get me started.

Tonight, I’m a Great Crested Grebe!

Time to join the procession!
